BlackFire was registered in Wenling, Taizhou, Zhejiang Province in September 2021, with a registered capital of RMB 5,555,500. The company specializes in the R&D and application of photoelectric system integration and complete solutions for new photocatalytic antibacterial materials, as well as technologies and products related to fire-retardant materials, holding a portfolio of independent invention patents. Its products are widely applied across multiple sectors, including healthcare, education, transportation, finance, corporate and institutional offices, and home furnishings. The products have been recognized by authorities in the United States, the European Union, Japan, and China, and BlackFire has established a mature "manufacturing + R&D + marketing + service" system.

Building on mature scientific research achievements and new material R&D expertise, this initiative is led by Professor Wang Yuanhao, a recipient of the National Thousand Talents Program, and Professor Fang Bin, a National Textile Labor Model. After years of dedicated development, the team created an ultra-high-temperature non-combustible textile fabric capable of withstanding temperatures up to 1,800°C. This technology broke the monopoly held by Japan, the United States, and other advanced materials nations in the field of high-temperature flame-retardant fabrics. Its heat resistance reaches the international top level, and it achieves a significant reduction in mass production costs through process innovation.

BlackFire has signed a long-term strategic cooperation agreement with the Hoffman Institute of Advanced Materials and the Zhejiang Modern Textile Innovation Technology Center to jointly develop and expand the in-depth application of this technology. BlackFire holds a number of independent invention patents, won the Geneva International Invention Gold Award in 2018, and the Korean Science and Technology Invention Gold Award in 2024. These achievements have addressed long-standing technological bottlenecks and realized domestic substitution in the field of non-combustible textile fabrics.

The non-combustible fabrics produced by BlackFire can be widely applied in national defense, military industry, firefighting, construction, industry, shipbuilding, chemical industry, and other fields. Initial industrialization has been achieved at the Modern Textile Innovation Center of Zhejiang Province, where a pilot production line has been built. BlackFire plans to expand production in Wenling, with an initial target of achieving an annual output of 1,000 tons and an annual output value of RMB 100 million within two years. BlackFire has completed RMB 2.5 million in angel round financing and RMB 5 million in team self-financing. In 2024, BlackFire participated in the drafting and formulation of the group standards and national standards for the material; the group standards have been adopted and officially published by the end of 2024.

At present, the company has established strategic and cooperative business relations with many well-known enterprises at home and abroad, such as Beijing Aerospace, Sinopec, Zhenlang Optoelectronics, Fanxiang New Materials, Carbon Research Co., Ltd., etc., and has set up holding subsidiaries in Shanghai, Ningbo, Wuxi and Hangzhou in China as business sales companies. In the overseas market, the company has set up sales centers and agent companies in Tokyo, Japan and Seoul, South Korea, respectively. The company cooperates with the University of Tokyo, Kyoto University, Seoul University, Yonsei University and other universities, and signed a cooperation agreement with the Japan Fire Department and the South Korean Fire and Disaster Prevention Department to provide them with new technologies of ultra-high temperature flame-retardant fabrics. , new product development, actively expand overseas markets, and open up the new sales volume of ultra-high-temperature flame-retardant fabrics.

    The founding team was established, entering the field of flame-retardant fabric R&D. Using polyacrylonitrile copolymer spinning and modified processing, BlackFire developed flame-retardant fiber, defining it as a new carbonlene material.

    The team overcame technical challenges, successfully developing China’s first high-performance non-combustible fiber with integrated organic and inorganic properties through specialized cyclization, oxidation, and low-carbonization treatments. This breakthrough redefined the industry standards for carbon-based materials and laid the foundation for the team in the non-combustible textile sector.

  • 2022

    Invited by government investment programs, BlackFire was officially established and entered large-scale operations. It was recognized as a Taizhou "Top 500 Elite Enterprise." A major breakthrough was achieved in fiber spinning technology, producing the world’s first ultra-high-temperature non-combustible textile fabric, which showed zero smoldering, zero afterflame, and zero damage after one minute of 1,800°C flame exposure—transitioning the industry from flame-retardant to truly non-combustible standards.

  • 2023

    The non-combustible fabric entered firefighting and labor protection markets, with disruptive products including specialized firefighting suits, proximity fire-entry suits, welding apparel, and welding blankets, earning multiple invention certifications. The company won first prize in the Taizhou division of the "Maker China" competition.

  • 2024

    The corporate vision—"Materials Safeguarding Lives"—was formalized, marking entry into national defense and military supply sectors, with designation as a "Military Equipment R&D Demonstration Unit." The Ningbo production base commenced operations, enabling mass production. The company claimed the national championship in the G60 Innovation Competition’s defense-tech category and was listed in KPMG China’s "Future Unicorns/Yangtze Delta New Materials Leaders" ranking.
