Company News | Black Fire Carbon Fiber Materials Makes Its Debut at the “March 15 Fire Safety Product Awareness Month” Event; Rigorous Testing Draws Attention

On March 12, the launch ceremony for the 2026 Zhejiang Province and Hangzhou City “3·15” Fire Safety Product Awareness Month, along with a fire safety awareness campaign for university campuses, was successfully held at China Jiliang University.

Organized by the Zhejiang Provincial Fire and Rescue Bureau and hosted by the Hangzhou Municipal Fire and Rescue Bureau, the Qiantang District People’s Government, and China Jiliang University, with support from the Qiantang District Fire and Rescue Bureau and Zhejiang Fangyuan Testing Group Co., Ltd., the event focused on fire protection product quality and safety innovation, showcasing cutting-edge technologies and application achievements in the fire safety sector.

Centered on the 315 Fire Safety Awareness Day theme, the event featured six exhibition zones, including “AI + Fire Safety,” “Counterfeit and Substandard Fire Safety Products Sold Online,” “Cutting-Edge Fire Safety Technology,” and “Industry-Academia-Research Collaboration.” Leading organizations in the fire and rescue sector—such as Black Fire, Hikvision, Zhejiang Yuanbang, Hangzhou Fire, Zhiyuan Research Institute, and Zhejiang University—were invited to participate, attracting over 400 attendees, including representatives from mainstream media and faculty and students from local schools.

As a key innovator in new materials for the fire and rescue sector, Black Fire was invited to showcase its achievements in fire and rescue applications. Its equipment system—including firefighting suits, fire blankets, and fire-resistant gloves made from Black Fire’s ultra-high-temperature non-flammable carbon fiber materials—became the focal point of attention at the event.



To give attendees a firsthand experience of the extreme heat resistance of Black Fire carbon fiber fabric, Black Fire invited local firefighters to participate in a live, on-site protection test. The firefighters, wearing firefighting gear made from Black Fire carbon fiber material, were subjected to continuous exposure to high-temperature flames from a 1,300°C blowtorch.



“There are no noticeable discomforts, and it feels warm to the touch. Compared to the previous firefighting uniform, this one is lighter and offers better comfort and flexibility,” a firefighter told a Qianjiang reporter after trying it on.

Leaders from the Fire and Rescue Bureau spoke highly of the application of Black Fire carbon fiber composites in the fire and rescue sector, noting that this represents a significant innovation in advancing fire protection equipment toward “lightweight, high-performance, and intrinsically safe” standards, and that it holds considerable value in enhancing the operational safety and mobility of frontline rescue personnel.

With Black Fire carbon fiber composite materials as its core technology, Black Fire has successfully developed over 40 functional fabrics tailored to the needs of various scenarios, gradually establishing a technical application system that spans multiple fields, including firefighting and rescue.

At the same time, the company actively advances its patent portfolio and participates in standard-setting efforts. It has obtained eight authorized patents and actively contributes to the drafting and formulation of numerous group standards, enterprise standards, and industry standards, helping the industry transition from experience-based protection to “intrinsic material safety.”

From static displays in the exhibition area to live tests under 1,300°C flames, this showcase is not merely a demonstration of material performance but a validation of capabilities in real-world rescue scenarios. When flames rise, temperatures spiral out of control, and the environment is filled with uncertainty, fire and rescue operations rely not only on experience and courage but also on a stable, reliable, and trustworthy foundation.

The application of new materials, exemplified by Black Fire carbon fiber composites, is making this “reliability” more predictable—maintaining structural stability in extreme heat and continuing to function under the impact of flames, providing a more solid technical foundation for every operation entering a fire scene.
